Board President Message
Dear Friend:
One of the most certain ways we can enhance our nation’s chances to succeed and thrive in this constantly changing world is to equip our children with the best education we can provide.
We are definitely proud and fortunate that Ladue Schools provide a superior education, as demonstrated by awards, honors and national status the district has achieved over the years.
A district as vibrant and successful as Ladue must continue to strive for world-class excellence, and this can only be achieved through extraordinary support from the community.
The Ladue Education Foundation was formed to foster educational innovation, community involvement and leadership for an academically and culturally diverse population of students. Through generous donations from individuals and companies, the foundation supports extraordinary programs and projects that advance the Ladue School District to be a leader in public education.
Over the last four years, we have granted around $100,000 through teacher grants to district educators to inspire innovation and expand opportunities for extraordinary student success.
The Foundation is also pleased to have the support of the Ladue Board of Education for the Global Learning Institute designed to support the district’s strategic plan and its ambition to be nationally recognized as a world-class public education system. Towards this end, the foundation is working to -
- Touch every student at every academic, economic and grade level in the district
- Unite and inspire students, faculty, administration, parents, businesses and community
- Support students’ role as responsible citizens and leaders - both locally and globally
- Connect students to and prepare them with the most advanced skills for an ever-changing global environment
The Global Learning Institute serves to create opportunities in five focus areas:
Innovation – by Fostering Bold, Critical Thinking and New Ideas
Culture – by Building Respect and Appreciation for all Peoples
Economics – by Imparting Knowledge to Succeed in a Global Economy
Environment – by Encouraging Stewardship of Global Resources
Leadership – by Developing Responsible and Engaged Citizens
We aim to implement these concepts through three avenues of action:
- Financially support projects and programs that are inspired by our collective imagination.
- Collaborate and Partner with other community entities such as other districts, private schools, universities, government, businesses, and nonprofits.
- Facilitate integration with the district’s curriculum and strategic plans through Foundation grants.
