LEF Breakfast & ‘Due Run Surpass Fundraising Goals
The Ladue Education Foundation’s Annual Community Breakfast and ‘Due Run 4 Education were whopping successes, together raising more than $45,000 for outstanding educational programs for our kids.
We are truly grateful to our community for the enthusiasm and energy they brought to both events! The Breakfast was a full house, and the ‘Due Run’s participants doubled in number this year.
At the ‘Due Run, more than 340 people began a gorgeous Homecoming day with a 5K or 1-Mile run originating from Ladue Horton Watkins High School. Adults, kids and teams, like the classes of 2022 and 2024, brought their running shoes and can-do attitude to this fun family event.
Guests at the Breakfast enjoyed learning from Dr. Jahnke about the latest initiatives in the District, as well as hearing from current students and alumni. Pulitzer Prize-winner Ben Solomon charmed everyone with his appreciation for teachers like Linda Box. And Carol Weisman kept the crowd laughing with her hilarious take on growing up in the Ladue schools, and why it’s so important to support our District.
Thanks to everyone for the generous support you gave in dollars and time! For more information about upcoming events and to learn how you can get involved in the exciting work the LEF is doing on behalf of our children, see www.laduefoundation.org.
